Interesting topic, very sad fic. Alcoholism (like any other addiction) is so complicated and I give you credit for not making it easy for them. Too often people write few sentence of more than brotherly love and - boom! - all problems are solved. It's great that you didn't do it here.
As someone else said, a bit mo9re background story would be nice, but then again, I feel like I'd be a hypocrite to ask for it since I barely ever write that myself.

Addiction and alcoholism is a gritty, ugly topic. Props to you for tackling it! It's so, so hard that I can't even imagine. It ruins families, not just the one addicted person. You did a great job at depicting that, and Tom's weakness and Bill's strength.

AW SKYLAR I LIKED THIS.
No okay but um let me not be retarded and be helpful and stuff and things yeah.
I like the plot of it and stuff and while over 5k is nice and long and stuff I feel like a lot of the actual actions in it are sort of rushed and go without explanation or maybe not that always but like not enough description to visualize well enough. I can totally see going over the sex thing quickly enough because wow tres awks but the fights between Bill and Tom and Tom actually going into the club and the ending with going to rehab anda stuff like that are kind of really fast and I can't come up with a good mental picture of what those situations were like.
There's sort of also not enough backstory to things I'd prob like to read more backstory for like how Tom actually really started getting into his alcohol addiction besides it hitting him like a train or whatevs, or how he started fucking around with Eddie for cheaper drugs. There's kind of a void behind it and I can tell sort of what Tom is like but at the same time there's not enough of his personality and motivation to get a good depiction of what he's like how he is. Like it's there but there should be more, I think. I don't really see his emotions or thoughts and stuff like that.
BUT I STILL LIKE IT I PROMISE I'M JUST TRYING TO BE CONSTRUCTIVE OK I LIKE TOM AS AN ALCHY I WOULD LIKE A SEQUEL WITH HIM IN REHAB.
