Thank you for playing along with our Justin Bieber Fiction April Fools prank! We had a lot of fun with it and we hope you did, too.

For those that fell for the prank (and there were dozens and dozens of you who sent us emails!), we hope you aren't too sore at being pranked. ;) It was all in good fun and a yearly tradition on THF.

The layout is back to normal, but if you find yourself missing the hot pink Bieber layout, Umetnica and Undrockroll have come up with a TH version that you can check out in the skins. Though I'm sure all of you have had enough Bieber Fever for the time being.

We are implementing new submission rules at THF, and the site will no longer allow stories with certain content to be posted. Recently THF came under attack by a group of fans that resulted in the site being banned from Paypal for its explicit content. We are concerned that some of our content could get the website and its members in trouble in other areas, so we consulted a lawyer at the OTW and explained our situation and concerns.

While it is very unlikely that THF would ever face legal action due to its explicit content, the lawyer we spoke to explained that it is not impossible and that people have gone to court in the United States for "obscene textual content" in the recent past.

We are very sure that THF is safe from any legal action, but to be certain that the website, the staff, and the authors will never come under any trouble, we are removing content that the lawyer suggested and that we no longer wish to host. The underage erotica, featuring characters 10 and under in NC-17 situations (underage erotica with characters over ten is fine), was suggested by the lawyer we spoke with as the most dangerous content on the website.

The bestiality and necrophilia is being removed because the founders and staff voted unanimously that they are not comfortable with this content being on the website. We do not mean to offend anyone who writes this content, and we do not mean to censor our members. We apologize to those who have to remove content and we hope you will cooperate with our wishes and continue to visit and enjoy THF.

Before you delete any of your fan fic, please read the descriptions of the warnings below, as many of you have most likely mislabeled your fiction and will not need to remove anything from the website!

Bestiality: Bestiality is fan fic featuring animals in explicit sexual situations with human beings. These animals include horses, dogs, cats, goats, etc. This warning does not include WEREWOLVES, VAMPIRES, ALIENS, MONSTERS, AND SO FORTH. Fics with that sort of content are CREATURE FICS, and we have made a new GENRE for this.

Necrophilia: Necrophilia involves explicit sexual situations with corpses. This does not include VAMPIRES, GHOSTS, ZOMBIES, ETC.

Underage Erotica (10 and younger): If a character is ten years or younger and is in an explicit, graphic NC-17 sexual situation, it will no longer be allowed on the website.

We would like to make it clear that mentions of these genres and warnings in a story are not forbidden. We are only forbidding explicit scenes.

Please don’t panic! We want to give you this opportunity to remove or edit the stories listed below yourself. If you feel you have mislabeled your story or that your story should stay, please CONTACT US and explain why, and we will attempt to work something out with you.

We are giving two weeks for you to remove or edit your content and contact us before we go in and delete them from the site permanently.

Thank you for your time, and we hope this won’t discourage you from posting on Tokio Hotel Fiction in the future. We appreciate your support and hope you understand our position in this matter. Both cynical_terror and undrockroll (site founders) have had to remove content because of these site changes, so the change in rules are not targeted toward any members.

Many of you are concerned about the situation that resulted in THF getting banned from Paypal. We are taking the stance of not giving anymore attention to the people that did this, so this will be the last time we post about the situation and we will not give out names.

A group of fans were upset with THF over our ad policies. They got us banned from Paypal in order to cut off our funding. They thought that if THF was unable to get donations to pay for the webhost fees, that we would then come to them for aid and have to play by their rules for funding.

This plan obviously did not work and we are in the process of finding another way to transfer money for donations.

The website is currently in a very safe place, and we will speak to you again very soon in the future with more information.

Now let's all stop panicking and start ficcing!

We have to make a bit of a sad announcement. Because of some issues within fandom, a group of fans reported THF to paypal for our explicit content. Paypal did an investigation of our site and found that we broke their TOS for the sexual fiction we host.

Because of this, THF is now permanently banned from using Paypal, which is how we collect our donations. We had some valid reasons to believe that this group of fans was attempting to cause some other problems that would result in THF being removed from our webhosts and taken off the net.

We have spoken with the people who had us banned and they have promised to take no further action in harming THF. At this time we are not worried that THF will be removed from our server. So, there is no need for anyone to delete their stories, though backing up your work is always suggested.

The big problem that has resulted from this is that THF is no longer able to use Paypal. Luckily, we have paid our webhosts (thanks to all of your amazing donations!) five months in advance. We also have extra money saved from these donations to keep THF afloat a bit after that as well.

We will attempt to find a new way to collect donations in the near future, so don't worry about the website going down because of payment issues.

We are very upset over what has happened, and that this group chose to take such harsh measures against us. We've already had some authors remove their fan fic from THF because of what has happened and that makes us very sad.

We appreciate all of your support through this, and we want to try and do everything we can to keep THF on the web and our members happy with what we offer.

Hey guys-

We've been having an issue with update and review notifications since switching servers. This problem seems to be almost exclusively affecting hotmail accounts. We believe that hotmail is blocking our notifications.

The one thing we can suggest is for you to create an account with yahoo or gmail just for use on THF. Add this new email to your account and see if you get notifications that way.

Also, a quick fix for those who aren't receiving notifications, but are not using hotmail, is to remove all notifications, save, refresh your account, and add the notifications back.

For those switching from hotmail to another email host, in hopes of receiving notifications, you may want to change the email in your account and then do the same thing with the preferences.

Let us know if switching from hotmail to a different email host works.

We're really sorry about the inconvenience of this, but there's practically nothing we can do to prevent hotmail from blocking our mail.

Hello fangirls and countrymen!

We've added new banners on both Burnt and Jelly. You can thank Undrockroll for the Jelly banner and ErikaListing for the Burnt banner.

Head on over to our Fanart site, we're taking fanart submissions for a new banner there.

We may be upgrading our server sometime in the next month or so. The site has been crashing pretty consistently due to an overload of traffic. What this means is, THF is more popular than ever, but our server can't take the load of all of the fans trying to get their fiction fix.

If we upgrade the server it will be substantially more costly than the plan we have now, which means the advertisement money and out of pocket money I put into the site will no longer be enough to keep THF afloat.

We will be running some fundraisers for THF hopefully very soon and any donations to the site are VERY appreciated. We will need some substantial member donations to keep THF online if we switch servers.

We will make a news post about the fundraising ideas in the near future!

Hey everyone!

We've added a new warning and genre to THF. The new warning is: gore. Please use this warning if your story contains excessive violence and gore.

The new genre is: gender swap. This is for stories where the characters are a different gender. It's similar to sex change, but sex change is when a character medically changes their sex. We wanted to add this distinction to the site.
