It is with a great sorrow in my heart I now find this story at its end... But what a story it was (is)!
This could very well be adapted into a movie, You know...
I have never heard of a story like this one, so it is rather original! It would make for a great movie!
Slightly influenced by Pirates of the Caribbean, I think... But in a very subtle way! :)
I thought the cave was only reachable when the tide was low?
The ending was remarkably well thought through and believable in that particular AU!
For once to be able to see how a legend is born, The Haunted Treasure, is one of the most used plot in treasure novels...
Love how you slowly made Bill aware of his feelings for Tom. Very sweet...
Tom was a right dick for ignoring Bill in the cave, but it was a very good plot twist...
I know You said no to a continuation but... That would be awesome!!! Hope springs eternal...
I will add this wonderful story to my favourites!
It has been a true pleasure to read, and I'm happy I waited for You to finish it before I read it. It would have been a torture to not having the next chapter available at my fingertips...

Author's Response: Oh, I always see the fics as movies when I write them, so thanks for that xD And influenced, yes, but the idea came while I was reading this HORRIBLE Will/Jack one-shot. Ah, crap. I forgot to mention that closer. A continuation is always possible, I must say. The Escapist was supposed to be only one, and now it is a trilogy! And thank You so much for your review. Okay yeah, I SOO just read that in one sitting!!! I LOVE IT!! it was so adorable!!! And I love cheese too! And latin which i actually speak a little of so i almost creamed my pants reading this... I loved all the characters and how you got everyone in and oooh it was so beautiful! some of your one liners were amazing like the failure is human thing and the we just made a legend etc part!
