Author's Response: Tom broke her heart into tiny little pieces. He pretended that he was truly interested, and she fell for it. When she found out she was pregnant, her mother kicked her out, and Tom rejected her. She went through the pregnancy at fifteen years old, completely alone.rnI don't know about you, but I'd definitely be pretty bitter after that. She calmed down after she noticed that Tom's not the same manwhore teenager he was. Thanks for the review, I hope that explained it a bit. :)

Author's Response: No, I think you misunderstood. I just edited it to make it more clear. That kid in the park wasn't Owen, he was just a kid who's dad left him behind. When Tom saw the kid like that, it made him think of what he'd done by abandoning Owen, and how much he wanted to apologize. The very last sentence is said by Tom, not the kid's dad.
