Ok, so this story might be about concert touring and not being in the military. But let me tell you from PERSONAL experience that it's not just the families that are extatic to see their families, it's the troops as well. But Our wait feels 10 times longer then the families. This is because we are in a place we know nothing about except that if they shoot at us, we shoot back.
Before you get upset, no, I'm not lecturing you. I just wanted you to know that I've been on both sides of the equation, and it sucks.

But thatk you for having this short and sweet story of love. I btw, I loved the expression you used about the flies on food to describe the time filght.
