I think I liked it better with the recent stories on the front page. It helps me get readers. ^^;; And I like to just be able to scroll through everything and find something I like as soon as I get to the website.

I don't see why everyone thinks that having the stories on the front page helped them to get readers. Everyone is going to have to browse the "recent" list now to see stories, so they will see your fan fic just as they did on the home page.
Also, I truly do not see what's so difficult in clicking ONE extra link to view stories. How lazy are we, really?

I like it when they were on the front page, but it's not a big deal and I can get used to it :)

I'm super lazy. ;)
I'm kinda used to it now...
But I did have a super stupid moment when I forgot they weren't there. And I was going "WTF?! THEY'RE GONE! OMFG! MY SLAAAAAAASH ;_;" And then I was like "Oh, yeah, haha."
Anyways, I can see more fictions now (I thinks) o_O
Anyways, I never realised how much NC-17 there was, haha.
Parents complaining?! WTF! My parents wouldn't do that. o_O
I'd be abit worried if they did...

Like I said before,I never look at the "recent stories" lol! I'm allergic to HET...Ugh!I always clicked on "SLASH"-my heaven.Just changed the configuration of sorting to "most recent" instead of "sort alphabetically".It's easy really, I do not understand why people complain?

There are many different opinions on this subject. We're all just going to have to deal. And it really isn't *that* bad. I think I was just shocked when nothing was there on the front page. I think most of us were. Lotsa change going on around here lately. Hopefully now we can all settle in and get used to everything? :/

Woooowwww...Lots of complaining going on here. Yanno, I never even knew that the fics were on the homepage until 3 days or so BEFORE they were taken off...I always used the recent page...But after I posted my first slash a few days ago I started stalking the homepage. Doesn't matter though. I still find everything just like I used to. lol. STOP COMPLAINING!!! IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL. Bitchy people...Bleh. Doesn't matter if we don't like it, its not our choice because we didn't create the site.

great idea, ladies! I've always checked recent stories first. I'm usually so behind I need to see the largest amount of new fic possible :b
as always, I'm sure your members will cope with this *devastating* blow, somehow. I know its agonizing when the tiniest shred of attention is taken away from their fic. Because having to click on recent stories is going to cost them so many reviews, I'm sure.
I think the only way you're ever going to please these people is by giving all of them their own, sparkly front pages and renting out a blimp to announce when they update.

I don't see why everyone is freaking out, I don't see how anyone managed to miss the RECENT tab, it's sort of right where you can't miss it and I don't understand why everyone is jumping down Arianne and Darcy's throats just because THEY run the website that WE all use, and THEY have the right to change anything, whether we like it or not.
I think this is the same with the Schrei Box, people hated the absence of it at first and some still do, but the fact that they aren't there anymore cleans the page up so well.
Come on people, think of all the great things they do for us, and you're going to get mad because of ONE little change? That's like biting the hand that feeds.
All in all, I think it is a positive change. :)
