I will probably just check out my favourites on my account now, to see if they are updated. I feel quite sad about this. It changes how the site worked, and not for the better in my opinion.

Anothet thing, surely having to look at the recent page is worse for people, since they actually show banners...

I never looked at the "recent stories" O_ô...Since there was "het" too lol!!! I always clicked on 'slash' directly so it doesn't change anything for me.But it seems like quite a lot of people are sad about this...

erm I don't really like it that much, I went to the front page to look for recent updates most of the time.
I do use the recent page a lot as well, so I guess I'll get used to it eventually.

I do not like it. At all. I loved how I could press 'home' and see it all at once. In fact, I even hated when there were two news posts up at once because it just didn't look right to me at all. I do not like it. It seems awkward and, in my opinion, the reason is silly. Are there really that many NC-17 summaries or titles that the whole thing had to be moved off the front? I, personally, have never seen them. I understand supporting what the admins do, and I do support them, but gee. This is one thing I just do not prefer.

I think it's a great change. Stuff gets pushed off the front page so quickly, and I'm shocked that so many people don't notice the Recent link.

I do realize I sound completely unreasonable and slightly bitchy in my first comment, but I can't help but feel that this is such a big change that was really, in my eyes and I'm sure some others, unneeded. I don't know. So much is changing around here, which is sometimes good, but I don't know. I really don't mean to be a pester or an annoyance. I just think things were fine the way they were, why change them?

lol, I just came on the site to look if there were any new stories, but you goys removed them from the front page xD lol. I liked it, just needs sometime to get used to i think^^.

I don't understand why it's such a big deal to some people. Just click 'recent'. It is a change, but it's not THAT big of a change. I think it's going a bit overboard to say that soon they will do away with slash.
My only problem with the change is that my server at work will often not let me open the recents page, but will let me go to the home page. I'll just have to read less at work...wait...this is a good change? XD

okay, wat i said mite have been a bit over dramatic, but it kind of makes sense. from wat i have heard there were quite a lot of people that had no problem at all with having stuff on the front page, and now they are really pissed off that it has been changed. they was sayin that if change something just because a few people don't like it then we will run into a huge problem l8r because there are people who don't like slash cos they're, i dunno, religious or homophobic. and besides, it's not like you had to read any of the stuff on the front page anyways. if they didnt like it they didn't have to read it. jeez.....i hope that wasn't too confuzzeling and that u somewat get wat i am trying to say.

This is a lot of complaining for a bunch of people who don't pay for the site.
Nice to know we have a good support system.
We removed all the content from the front of the site because much of it was ADULT content. Now, in order to see ANY of the content, you must be registered logged in. Along with being registered, we have the documented proof that we do not have minors reading/writing/viewing adult content. This saves everyone's asses.
It's just a button to click. And this way we can see all of your ~pretty banners~.
I'm disappointed in this reaction and you guys. Really, really, REALLY disappointed.

Click the "RECENTS" button. That is EXASTLY, VERBATIM, WORD FOR WORD, what is on the front of the site.
If you can't find your stories, I suggest a lobotomy.

Yeah, I don't get why people can't just bookmark the recent page and use that as their home base. I think the recent pages show more stories at one time than the home page did, too, which is good considering how fast it gets updated sometimes.

I cannot believe how you guys are reacting to us taking the RECENT FICS off the front page. Seriously. And yes, RetteLeana, there are MANY NC-17 summaries on the website.
I appreciate hearing your opinions, we all want to know what to do to make the site better, but I swear, for all of the work we do, we get VERY little back in return but grief. This is a free website that you guys get to enjoy and all of the mods/admins spend hours every day making sure it stays functional and that there are fan fics posted for you to read.
This may be my frustration coming to a head, and maybe it's out of place, but I feel absolutely no gratitude from the members of this website.

Maybe you think it's unneeded, useless, etc, but in the end I don't want our website to be shut down. I don't want to deal with your parents emailing me and complaining! lol And yes it has happened!
