The twins are members of the band too and it's clearly not their fault if the other half had decided to disappear.

Say WHAT?! The band as a whole posted a greeting at the December 24th 13:45 (German time) at first facbook and six minutes later at twitter. The one on facebook has been seen by at least 10722 fans (who have liked it) and the one at twitter has been, so far, retweeted by 1914 times. I'm sure you all have had a lot other things to do than surf the net during the holliday, but the question is still why post this without even checking or thinking about it? I really don't mean to be rude, please don't take this that way, but we are a really big group of fans who do feel hurt and excluded when 99% of the non fictional stuff also is around the twins. There are very little news about the band at all, of course the twins attending the jury is the major talk in the fandom and so on. It makes things like this even more important. I just want to point this out, as I do know many are hurt by this but doesn't say a thing as they don't want to be seen as "trouble makers" or be seen as ungrateful for all the work people like you put down on this site or others. But as I'm sure it is in no ones interest to be hurtful to anyone I just want to point this out. And, the few news about the band as a whole is posted on facbook and twitter, they have become way better the last six mounths at updating, so nowdays it is a good place to look for the latest information :)

You know what? It's things like this ^ that are the reason that I don't want to (and don't really) write in this fandom anymore. Someone gives us something nice, like the only PHOTO posted about the holidays, and people come in and shit all over it because their feelings were hurt because the part of the band THEY like best didn't get a mention because the part of the band they like best DIDN'T GIVE a mention. Sure, there was a text post on facebook, but that could have been posted by Joey the Grunt boy that keeps facebook updated. And it's words instead of a pretty photo. Yes, it sucks that the Gs aren't as in your face as the twins are, but that's sort of how it's been since 2005, by the choice of the band itself and the media promoting them. It's not new. And posting the material available ISN'T PURPOSEFULLY COUNTING PEOPLE OUT. It's using what's on hand. If only the facebook had posted Georg's tree sooner, then maybe THF could have used HIS tree instead, but they didn't so THF couldn't so they used what they HAD.

So, yes, it sucks that the Gs are in the background, but it sucks more that people have decided to shit all over a Christmas message to the fandom as a whole because it wasn't G centric enough. Considering that the whole band has been mostly out of the public eye for the last year and a half, I'm glad to take anything they're willing to give, be it the twins' app message or a photo of Gustav flipping us off with a cheery star on his finger to make it festive. In a drought, take what you can get.

I'm honestly disappointed that this got to the point that I felt the need to say something. :(

It really pisses me off that someone feels the need to go rant about something that no one has control over and then the owner of this site - who has gracefully allowed us to archive our fanfic with the use of her PERSONAL FUNDS - now feels like crap for passing on a lovely Christmas message from Bill & Tom. For Shame :(

Nice seeing a greeting from Bill and Tom. But damn... Do I miss the G's like crazy. I am happy for any news, twins or G's. And I am not ashamed of missing the G's. :-/ G-fans can always find a haven at G's Daily on Livejournal if they want.
