I think you have to say something to the effect of lightening streaked across the sky or something (oh! speak of the devil, it's thundering out right now!) corny like that.
I'd be interested to hear the story behind hat scar. Loved the ending, and the new info you're sliding beautiflly into the story. I guess Bill's biggest problem is he ran off w/ his little sister before he was legally an adult and doesn't have custady. But if dad's drunk all the time how much is he going to miss them? Really?

Again, I don't understand why he lied. It's more complicated if they're still alive, death is final and simple. Painful though...
Also, where are you from that 17 is a minor (in the sex world)? It's 16 in most places.
Lastly. You need to eat breakfast in the morning. It's super unhealthy if you don't (sorry, I'm not sure if you're projecting you prefrences onto Tom or if it just worked for the story). I hate breakfast but I'm healthier for eating it.
Author's Response: Here the law is you have to be 18+ to be with someone over 18. Otherwise it's considered statitory (sp?) rape. And, ja, it's healthier to eat breakfast in the mornings. but, eh...the line fit ^^
