I've just given my exam of English History :D
I enjoyed this story pretty much (I'm a bit of an history geek too) and I find all the history background really well done!
I appreciate also the sex scene between captain Tom and lil'Bill 'cause it looks really credible and masculine in my mind and it's not a usual thing for this pairing.

in case i couldn't tell!!! you basically just recited half of what my history teacher taught me in high school... lol to be truthful... when you mentioned Oliver Cromwell, that's what made me read this, and I'm not complaining. I love how you added little details about that war in there. Like about how Charles I hadn't called parliament for half of his reign, about the New Model Army, and radicalism... lol 'tis Great Story! :)

This is such a wonderful story. Everything fit into the setting so well, and the characters were completely believeable. The concept was unique, as well... Not the rebel and the innocent, but the fact that the war had already been won. I've never read a story that took place after the battle, so this was new to me, and it certainly doesn't disappoint!
I would love to know what happens next, should you ever feel inclined to write a sequel.

That was a unique and brilliant piece of writing. When I was younger I used to read those romance novels that were set in various times in history. Where the guy was always the pirate or lord or somesuch and he girl was always his captive or she would come under his power. The idea of Tom and Bill in any of those roles was something I'd never imagined. I haven't read one of those in years and I almost didn't read this when I found it but something drew me in. I am so glad that I read it and I am going to recommend it to all my friends. This was a wonderfully fantabulous story and I loved it. Danke.

Your writing is so good - the setting, the characters - everything is just perfect. Somehow I don't see Bill following Tom straight away, but the historical turmoil having them stumble upon one another time and again.
I vote sequel!

I was enthralled until the end. And the end came too damn soon...It took me about a full thirty seconds to realise I had run out of text and then, to make matters worse, my brother laughed at me from across the room because apparently I made this pathetic whiney noise...
I'm so embarrassed...
I am fully prepared to beg on my knees for a sequel, so I would be all kinds of grateful if you would be so kind as to indulge everyone's pleas for more of this unique idea *makes pleady kitty eyes* Pleaseeeeeee?

oh wow this was awesome! I studied the period just before this so it was really cool to read this :D we're looking at this time period now but we're looking at Spain xD this was absolutely fantastic! Soooooo well written and an absolite delight to read. I loved the whole build up as well, your Tom practically had me swooning haha. Amazing, wonderful, super! And so much fun to read! I love history xD although i'm more of a geography geek haha.
