By "this time," I meant the 1930's, particularly the later years. This would be when Hitler was gearing up for his 1939 invasion of Poland and whatnot.
Author's Response: Ah gotcha, didn't put that together when I read your review the first time. ;3 I'm deciding to not mention WWII in this fic as it's a touchy subject with me due to my Nazi German heritage. Sadly many of my previous family members aided in the deaths of innocent people, and quite a few of my living realitives still to this day are on that side of the fence. I'd rather not have to be reminded of that through writing this fic, but that was an excellent point to bring up! I know they were hard times back then, but we'll just focus on the horses and our TH boys. ^^

I enjoyed this fic a lot, not just for the characterization but the way you really plunged us into the details of the characters' working lives. What an exciting setting you've picked! I will be waiting eagerly for an update, and also wondering if politics will be a factor here as well, given events in Europe at this time.

It's great to see I'm getting new readers after my long hiatus. ^^ Not sure if current events would affect a period piece story set in the 1930's, but then I don't subscribe to any newspaper (hippie ><) so I am not in the loop with worldly on-goins.
