there is a bit of a process involved in the turning bit, Gusti is able to refrain from injecting his venom when he bites Geo (but when he really feeds he must use his venom to keep his victoms from fighting back too harshly, only in Geo's case does Gusti not need to use his venom.) In the story "forever now" a side fic to this one, Gusti does not withold his venom...and chaos ensues.
