Sometimes things are clear in our heads but they just won't get out right. I think what you meant is that Tom puts himself in the worst case scenario, then comes to terms with it, and then the rest seems easy to accept, like "If I jump from a plane, I won't be afraid anymore of climbing to my roof" shock therapy.

I'm so sad to hear that the next chapter is the last! I so enjoyed reading this story. But I understand the whole story taking on a life of its own and making itself as short or long as it wants. Haha.
I really liked this chapter. I have to admit, I was worried about how this whole scene was going to turn out. You made it all believable, though, so congrats on that! And I love the end of the chapter. Can't really explain why, but I do! Haha.
