Author's Response: Well Bill still loved Andi, they were best friends. Even after what happened they still had that connection. When they ran nto one another and he saw Georg and Andi together, he saw the love that he held for Tom, the love they shared in his friend and partner. It was as though everything that happened did not matter, that only the love each possessed for their lover was what mattered. Tom is only happy when Bill is so he is happy to accept, plus he is the one who noticed it first.
