While I am sure that it was scary to some readers, I live off of scary depraved movies that make you wonder if the film crew were seriel murders.
So I am not to sure how that can get fixed.
Also while I am not in Cali, I'll be there in like a week four my cousins wedding. San Diego no less.
I live in New Mexico, and only my girlfriend and my friend Emmie are TH fans in my age group.. I thinks Jessica is but I don't know her age actually.

Epp!! UPDATE!!! yea!! very happy :) lol, um... yes I do notice how people smell. I can't tell who someone is by sniffing them, haven't sniffed them enough to know, but I can tell different smells. I always have to have a pillow from my house when ever I head over to someone else's place, because the pillow smells like home. n_n
Hmmm...I didn't think the creepy/scary scene was all that creepy because I came from reading Supernatural, which is kind of very creepy writing when you find a good fic. lol, um... I think one of the reasons it didn't seem as creepy was all the sentences were kind of long and flowing, and I think when writing like that, you need short of quicker sharper sentences, ore maybe ones that sort of jump around, so you don't quite know what is happening. That helps a lot with a suspense a lot of the time.
Maybe also there wasn't a lot of fear from Bill, like besides saying he was afraid. Like I knew he was, but it wasn't like I was in his head. lol, if you know what I mean. But then all of what I said shouldn't be over used or even sometimes used. You have to find like a happy medium, and even then sometimes none of what I said is used in good creepy/scary writing. You've got to play around with everything so that it fits your style :)
The ending was cute though. The show must go on :) hehehe, I love it n_n But ew, I would not be able to go up on pointe after a taser, lol. I would collapse on my first pirouette. But then again, I don't have Tomi dancing with me do I? ;) Isobel seemed nice though, like she was roped into everything but didn't want to be :)

Author's Response: Morganville books are good. The writing is kind of pedestrian but the plot is fantastic and the characters are well-developed and really fun to read about. WE ARE AFI TWINSIES< YAY!!!!!

I liked this chapter, I really did. I think it was scary enough, but that's cause I hate torture and all that stuff, can't stand it it makes my skin crawl and it makes me sick. ><
I think cause you put the warnings actually in the story I was able to prepare myself or something. And thank god they didn't ruin his beautiful face! Although a scar would look cool...
I don't exactly notice how people smell, my sense isn't that developed but I know exactly how my best friend smells because I hug her a lot ^_^
I remember once she said I smelled sweet...

It was scary because it was Bill's face in danger, otherwise it's just a lil' disturbing. What to fix... maybe more description? Like the way it's written? So that we feel what Bill feels, hence the 'scary'.
and to answer your bonus question: OH I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN! Though I'm not THAT great at smells, most of my friends seem to have a distinct smell and I just KNOW when it's them who's doing the cover-your-eyes thing. Heehee, I always win, too. ;)

woah. i loved this chapter. it was probably my favorite so far (other than the smuty one) because i'm sick and twisted and love when the characters are thrown curve balls like that (which is why Misa's Vicious is my baby xD)
