Aww I bet that was rough for Bill to see. Poor Emperor for having to go through it again. I'm glad he has Tom now! Oh and Good Lord at the beginning of the chapter *falls over dead* you rule my world with this story.
Author's Response: It was REALLY hard for Bill. He had the idea that this other Bill was him, just like the Emperor is Tom, but until he actually SAW it, he really didn't take it to heart. Then, there his is, and it IS him and bam, flail.
The Emperor. *pets* Seeing Bill in Bill's room all by its self was enough to hurt. Dredging up memories was just worse.

I adored this chapter because for the first time, I think it really slams home how confusing this whole situation must be for them.
I mean, of course it's been confusing before, but in a comical way. But this really makes you realise what each of them must be feeling emotionally, and how difficult that must be for them.
I was so proud of Tom in the last few lines :) It takes alot to allow your lover to cry in your arms over a lover lost, without being hurt, jealous or threatened. You read that, and more than the sex, more than anything else, it makes you think "Tom really does love the Emperor."
And, and I adore how the E still calls Tom his 'little bird'. It's so cute.
And finally ....
" I would really much rather not have the image of him blowing you in my head while we're having dinner." Cringing again, Bill swore. "Fuck, there it is anyway. You guys suck."
LOL. I will be laughing about that line all day! Hilarious.
Brilliant chapter! And as always, can't wait for more. X
Author's Response: The whole of it all really is amazingly strange and awkward, and, as you said, difficult.
Tom does care, and cares a lot about the Emperor. More than he would have thought initially.
And he'll always be the Emperor's little bird. :)
Poor Bill. This vacation has been so bad for his brain space when it comes to those two. :D

I always wondered what would happen if Bill saw other Bill's room. I actually started crying, that's how good this chapter is!

poor Bill ;_; Tom's being really neglectful -- understandably so though ;) I like how you showed Basai's enormity and how the Emperors were able to keep it that large, by being good, just rulers. Have the Americas been discovered yet in Basai?
Author's Response: Poor Bill indeed, but at least he's being well petted. Tom's just a little...distracted at the moment.
Basai is huge fully thanks to good leadership and dedication. This family has worked hard to expand that Empire and take care of their people.
As yet, the Americas are an unknown in Basai. Maybe the Emperor will have to take a page from Tom's book and try to take them over as well. ;)

I think Tom is a little twitchy about the Emperor and Bill. Who can blame him really. It doesn't help that Emperor Tom insists on spending time with Bill. It makes me twitchy too!

I love how Amara is so sweet to Bill. You know, I can't say that I hate her as much as I did at first, what with the backstory and seeing her show some ACTUAL sweetness. I like it.
I loved how Bill came bounding into Tom's (rather, E's) room with the news that, OH MY JOST, I JUST SAW BUSHIDO. WITH HAIR. THAT was epic. It really was. So Basai is that big, eh? I thought it was big, but that's nearly the size of Macedonia! ...UNLESS THAT'S WHAT YOU WERE GOING FOR. *things are starting to click*
All in all, awesome chapter. I've crossed this day off my mini calender, and so you know I'm excited. :)
