Oooo...this is really good so far. I like the whole 'world' you've created. You have me intrigued. I can't wait for the next chapter. Hope you update soon. This is such an interesting start.

Oh..but one thing I am curious about is how do you pronounce Artaxerxes? I can't seem to make it out. Apart from that and a couple of punctuation/grammar errors I noticed, I loved it. :)
