^ That line pretty much broke my heart. This is such a sad oneshot and the fact that I really don't understand what's going on makes it even better. I feel for the twins and Tom even though I have no clue what's going on. Tom...I know he doesn't want to hurt Bill, but he's forced to. It's either that or give up on his happiness...although Bill is another happiness so it's hard for him.
And Bill...having your brother, your twin brother leave like that is just so...so awful. It truly made me want to cry when he was telling Tom he wanted them to play those songs together. I feel like I'm going to tear up any second now because this is just...ugh. So sad ;____;
I'm so sad this is only a oneshot but it's beautiful just like this and I truly think that either keeping it as a oneshot or making it a story would both be a good thing. So yeah. This is going in favorites :)

This is so weird. Just today I my friend and I were talking about her boyfriend wanting to join the military and how heartbroken she was about it. But I can really feel the pain. Sad for both the twins.
I love ambiguity, btw and the fact that you didn't have to tell us what Tom's going to do. Obviously, I inferred it has something to do with the military, if that's not what you intended, sorry haha.
