Hi there...i guess i'm one of those horrible people you mentioned on your profile who never, ever reviews. So, just to pay you back for writing such a lovely story, i'm giving you my "review virginity" (please, please don't think i'm a weirdo...xD)
i read all of your Pomme de Sang series, and i really like your writing style and characterization, though in the other stories the way that Tom and Bill interacted didn't sit well with me. The writing and mood was still fantastic, but just not....happy. Not that i read exclusively fluff, but still...i like it when characters that are supposed to be lovers at least get along, you know? but i won't pass judgement on how you want to write them. That's why /this/ is the story i chose to review, because the atmosphere is so different. I really love the way you portrayed Bill and the other vampires, and made the interactions and conversations seem clear and realistic. Also, Tom was particularly great, because he had fear and worries and misgivings. There are plenty of stories where Tom would just blindly follow Bill anywhere, even if he were a vampire. And while those stories are quite sweet, the way you made Tom reluctant and human was unique and much easier to relate to. Thank you for writing such a fantastic story!

Author's Response: I don't know. Maybe he'll eventually change him. Or maybe he never wants to see Tom's humanity spoiled by immortality and will let their romantic attachment go when Tom gets older. Like I said, you can decide what you think would happen.

Author's Response: I dunno. Maybe in the future. But where this story's set Bill's currently letting Tom enjoy being human at least a little longer. Or perhaps it's something he never wishes for his twin? You decide.

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you liked them all. I may add to the series in the future, but right now I have to force myself to finish Gilded Cage, and then there a lot of other things that I am dying to write.

Very impressive I kept waiting for hot dirty nasty sex and kept being distracted with plot! damn you! lol It' was good. There was the underlying tension of sex but it was clearly more about what was going on rather then what was going to happen *eyebrow wiggle* Well done you!
Author's Response: I felt pretty guilty about not putting any sex in there. I kinda wanted it too, but after writing all that plot I just felt like it would be dropping down a level or something to write it. So I left it alone. Glad you liked it.

Awh it's sad. I feel bad for Tom being a "piece of meat" and Bill not knowing what he was getting into and having to be the "leader" even when he is as in the dark as the one who is following him. *sigh*

This was so tender and sweet--I love this vampire Bill too. I like the factor that Bill is letting Tom choose, but deep down he knows it has to be done either way. And the whole marking scene was really sexy. Nice!

I don't know what it is, maybe there was just a lot more going on, but I absolutely loved this part and you should definitely make it a series.
I esp. loved that you had two *vampires* playing on the swings and you wrote it so casually and naturally, that I didn't even realize the possible incongruity until later -- so fun! ^^

Author's Response: Yeah, Bill's a bit more tame in this one, but I felt he had to be. I didn't want to take away from such an important moment with a selfish, cold Bill. But Hopefully there'll be more stories with deviant Bill.
