Oh god, I LOVED that! Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure this is the first Torg I've ever read. You definitely sold me on this pairing! It was really sweet that Tom was trying to make amends and get Georg back. Even sweeter how in love with Tom Georg is through the whole story. This was a great read!

This story made my heart ache. Unfortunately, I can see Tom being an ass and hurting Georg. I think of all the interviews where the twins ridicule poor Georg and he just laughs it off, it makes the mom in me want to do the whole "if you can't say something nice.." routine. Then to imagine a Tom/Georg relationship and have Tom blustering away about his conquests...makes me shudder. But your Georg is such a teddybear and Tom is his soul mate, so all worked out. sigh... Just lovely.
Author's Response: Those interviews were actually what inspired this story. I never have figured out why Georg puts up with it, why he never throws out any zingers of his own, and when I started thinking of why, I came up with this. Even without the relationship between Tom and Georg, it bothers me when Tom goes on about the girls he's been with and when he teases Georg. I might not be able to stand him, but then he takes care of Bill and he and Hagen seem to genuinely be close, so I forgive him. :p

I really like the atmosphere you set in this one, with the hesitancy between them. I like that when you write Torg, you don't lose the fact that they are two very boy-ish boys doing it--there's nothing girly about it. "Tom rolled him on his back and climbed on top, all knees and elbows bumping, long arms stretching out above them" --all your descriptions are so vivid. I really enjoyed this. :)

I think Torg is a little strange to a lot of people, but I really do like these two very masculine men together. I like how the emotions between them really takes their masks off and makes them very vulnerable to each other, even under their masculinity. I love to try to play with it, and I'm so very happy when it works. I'm very glad that you felt so much of them!

I’m reading Torg for you…I think that earns me a hug!
I know I tell you this all the time, but I feel like it’s important to say it again anyway…you get in Georg’s head! I have never met anyone who can get in that bassist’s head like you can. It feels like it’s real, because everything about him seems so true and realistic.
And the way you write moments. Like when Georg opens the door and time stops. It’s quite amazing, girl, as if it’s happening right in front of me and I’m the one not being able to breathe.
Love how you made Georg count the heartbeats, shows so much with so little.
Tom is so…Tom. So hesitant when it comes to emotions and so blind sometimes.
Your fics are always different because you write so little actions compared to emotions. And still it’s as if I can see everything that happens like a movie in my head, because the emotions you paint go hand in hand with the actions and they fulfill each other perfectly, it all feels so very natural when you write it.
The cigarette move was brilliant. And the pinching of the toe…it just proves their long friendship together, you know? It’s a gesture that tells of their background and their relationship before whatever that has happened between them happened.

I love how you make Georg fight himself not to give in to Tom because he believes he’ll only end up hurt again.
~ Tom blushed then, a beautiful rose that started in his neck and bled sweetly over his cheeks. ~ perfect right there, so original and amazing
How you use ‘man’ instead of ‘boy’ make them so much more mature, and that’s a good thing in this fic
You’re brilliantly original, did you know that? Where most others would say ‘fireworks’ you say ‘explosion of color against a black, night sky’
You make their love so obvious with that sex scene, every move is so strong, so powered by what they feel for each other…wow
Okay…Tom fingering himself? Remember those butterflies I told you about that had just fainted? Well they come back from the dead and died again right here!
And the ending…that’s a big WOW! If the love was obvious before, now it’s simply pouring out of your words. And the way Georg’s the protective one, even when he’s the one that’s been hurt the most…just his character!
I think the most amazing thing about your writing is when you write Georg, because you get in his head in a way that’s absolutely mesmerizing. And I know I’m repeating myself, but this is important! If there had been a Georg prize, it would have been given to you point blank!
