Hello, I really don't know what to say.
I mean, you had a great idea, even if it could have been written in a slightly better way, but it really was original and promising.
But there something I just can't understand : you went all the way to made Bill an intersexe, making him able to get pregnant in a completely realistic way, and in the end you just threw it all away.
I'm not mad about the miscarriage, with his lead poisoning it would surely have happened anyway, but you could have made him get pregnant again, or at least let him have one child, and not just say "Well, life is a bitch : get over it"
So, to be honest, I'm quite disappointed.
I'll read it 'till the end nonetheless, but only because I think that if you start to read something you have to finish it, even if it's not like what you wanted it to be.
It doesn't mean I don't respect your work or anything, I myself can't write to save my life, and I think you're awesome to put so much time and effort in your stories, it's just that this one didn't went the way I would have liked.
I wait your next story with impatience.

Before my review rid I must say, however, that I understand the English language quite well and have thanks to my Kindle, the story really well understood but unfortunately not as good' for that matter Written. So I wrote my review in German and translated with the help of Google. I hope it does not sound too bad, and you know what I want to tell you ....
I read your story and I am thrilled. I wanted not stopped reading.
The idea to write something from the middle ages I really liked and it was interesting to read how different the lives of Tom and Bill are - just because they live in different centuries - and they have fallen in love anyway. Apparently knows love really no time and no space. However, I must also say that I am incredibly happy to live in the 21st century - with toothbrush, toothpaste, cotton buds, running water, toilets and showers, etc.
When Bill was back in his time again I imagine that George and Tom were so totally overwhelmed because everything we know them is so unknown.
All the more impressive, I find that Bill is coped with life what he has to perform at Tom. After all, he has renounced civilization and progress, because he actually knows. But I think for the love he has gladly waived because he knew that he would never find such a person as Tom again and that love helps him to do anything.
It was only important that he could be with the love of his life, no matter what time and in what place …
However, it was good that they brought Bill back to Berlin before he had to die. He was really very ill.
When I heard that it comes from the makeup and I had previously always read that he was feeling better without makeup, I first thought it would anyone want him intentionally poison but that's not true. They were then just not aware of how dangerous lead is real. But fortunately Dr. Meyer helped Bill and he could back later to Tom.
Sad was natural that Bill has lost her baby. I honestly believed in a miracle and thought the doctor in Berlin was wrong and Bill will make it discharge the baby and bring it to the world. But unfortunately, fate has provided something else for him.
That Hannah scored the child for him I found really great, so I did not expect. I was totally shocked when I had read that she is pregnant by Tom. Fortunately, everything turned out well in the end and so Tom and Bill can look stretched in a future that promises them grandchildren.
Big praise for your story. It is simply stunning, captivating, enthralling, partly sad but and just plain reading.

it's half passed 12 in the night... on a school nigh... I'm crying my eyes out cause of the happy ending... I love gappy endings... and I can truthfully say... that this is my absolute favourit story... I could not let it go... not once and I will read it over and over again... Can I just say how much I love this fic? It's amazing I've read it like a million times already and it never gets old
So I was going to respond to your comment on Rotkäppchen but then I was worried that you wouldn't see it, so I'm leaving you a nice little review/message. First off thank you so much for whiting out my fics in your spotlight author I peed my pants when I saw that. You are the sweetest girl on the planet. I am also a metalhead descended from Vikings- although I am not pagan (why do you refer to yourself as such?-for surely it is I who am a pagan from your point of view). I am, however, always looking for new music, so if you have any suggestions that would be awesome. I've been reading your stories (I stumbled across Die Wachter first, then began to read your other stories. I knew much more about Vikings when I was a kid, but have focused on the Greeks and Romans since then, because of school- so I cannot attest to the accuracy of any part of your stories, only that they are awesome. I particularly liked Bill as IS, I thought it was an interesting way to account for Bill's androgyny, and I haven't seen it done before.

oh my goodness this was an amazingly fantasmically wonderful fic. I laughed, I cried, wasn't bored or confused for a moment...though I do think I prefer picturing Wolfgar as Alexander Skarsgard instead of Bootstrap Bill...no offense its just how I pictured him first. I liked Bill having, as you call them, sticky out and sticky in bits. I don't know if they are out there and I just havent read them or what but it was refreshing change of pace for me. Keep up the beautifully awesome work in your other endevours.
Author's Response: I never pictured Wolfgar looking like Bootstrap, but rather the way he did in King Arthur. Even though he's old, I'd still do him in that movie lmao And you've never heard of interexed people? They very much do exist. I loves them.
