Author's Response: Well, because in those days, crossdressing and homosexuality was totally not ok. Bill remembered that from his history class, at least. And since he showed up while he was in his skirt from clubbing, he figured it was safer than to go along with it than to have to face the consequences of his crossdressing.

I was dissapointed in this chapter. Even if Bill was drunk, don't you think he'd be upset and confused at his suddenly new surroundings? Asking questions demanding to know where he was? You just made it seem like he was perfectly unfazed. I dunno, seemed way unrealistic to me.
Author's Response: I'm sorry that it wasn't as good as you had expected. True, it was probably unrealistic, But really, have you ever read those time travel romance books you find in the stores? The girl never really seems fazed. Either way, chapter 3 and 4 (mostly 4) are much more...emotional for Bill. The alcohol has worn off, and hopefully *crosses fingers* it comes out better in your opinion.

Good for you for allowing this story to be realistic. For example, you said Tom would rape someone if he was in the mood. While this is despicable by today's standards, back then it was probably common behavior of a Germanian warlord or whatever.
Also, were Romans like second class citizens in Germany back then? I didn't know.
Author's Response: *Clears throat and prepares for speech* Raping was a very common for every culture. People generally focus on the northern "barbarians" (whom I would like to point out were actually VERY civilized), but even the Romans and such people would rape. It was more of a conquest thing. Even today, it's all about power. The lords took care of their own people, but villages did have slaves. In Rome, the northerners were slaves, and up north, the Romans were. The northerners (not just Germanians), made the Romans slaves because they would attack women and children. Raping children happened. They were scum of the earth. In Rome, however, the northerners were just seen as barbaric and animalistic and they were raped to make them "human" again. It's all stupid, really. And wow...I wrote so much... Sorry! I don't even know if I really answered it. Thanks for reviewing!

You made me feel so proud of my geekiness XD Actually, I remembered alot from my Ancient Civilizations class, so I didn't need to do a TON of research, just a little. I'm like, a queen of Viking history. The Germanic people had the same gods, and from what I gather, the same life style, which made it easier for me. I'm glad you like it
