Finally picked this up again. I kind of tapered off during chapter three because it was going somewhat slowly... I think it would have been better if the first two chapters and the second two chapters had been rolled together to make one chapter each. But I'm still reading, which is all that matters, right?
I'm glad that the plot keeps me guessing. I think you'll go one way with it, and yet you go another. I don't like figuring out plots as I read unless I'm supposed to, so thank you. :)
Some parts I think could use a little more description, because if scenes that take longer don't read proportionally to the rest of the story, it starts feeling a little rushed. I'm not sure if that made sense though.
Your English isn't terrible by the way; you have a few typos and some grammar errors, but just because she pointed them out doesn't mean they're all over the place. For the most part, this is quite well written. A beta [or perhaps a more thorough beta] and a read-through once it is posted could fix that fine. I tend to glance over my own mistakes while looking over my story, and I don't notice them unless I'm not looking for them.
More on the plot; intersex!Bill is very interesting. I always considered doing a story like that, but I never really got the guts to sort it out. It's interesting how you tied it in and it makes Bill very unique. I'm dying to see how Tom responds to Bill's gender issues. :)

I have quite the stuff planned out. I didn't even let my beta see them. What parts do you think need more description? Just as an example.
