Hi.
I read slowly but I read nonetheless, It's harder when it's not your original language( I'm french by the way). But I really love your story so I take my time to review as well.
- Tom's issues increase. A falling test! He is lucky the G's dont' know abour that. Mr Sullivan is a kind teacher but only because he knows Tom isn't falling it on purpose.
- The band practice continues like always, but they still lack something and Tom isn't in the mood for it. Better next time!!!
- Back to the library...Unofficial Meeting point between Tom and "ugly Bill".
I really love the way Tom sends the girls packing and even the way Bill did it. In french we say something like " It's the most embarrassed who goes away". The girls went away so they must be very embarrassed.
And they are so mean that they deserve Tom's cutting remark.
-But what caught my attention is Tom's thoughts. He is frustrated because Bill doens't look at him like the previous day...even if Tom defended him. Tom acknowledges - in thought, but acknowleges yet- that He defended Bill on purpose. He doens't know why he did it, but he did.
Bill struck again with his strange effect on Tom. I'm sure he deliberately ignored Tom in order to have a reaction. Naughty Bill! So eager to have all Tom's attention to him. Who can blame him????
- But it worked. Tom watched Bill more and then notice his books. Advanced Calculus...Ugh I never love algebra.
- Tom asked Bill... Non, I rephrase it...He didn't even ask, but Bill answered. The hypothesis of reading minds is quite possible...But it seems to be something more than that. After all, Bill didn't hear that Tom called him "ugly"...
It's something more focused on Tom. as if he can sense some emotions from Tom. Like before, there seems to be a strange link between them. Tom is more sensible to Bill in more than a way and Bill too towards Tom.
I'll see clearer in the next chapters, the 'lesson' will be instructive and maybe funny.
One thing is sure...the lessson hasn't begun yet and Tom is already nervous.
How Tom will face Bill? Will they talk about anything else than algebra? Surely, I remember the prologue. Tom thinks of Bill as a friend... to achieve it, They have to become closer so Tom could change his mind and not only see Bill by his look. What a better way to do it than talking?
They will learn to know each other somehow and I'm sure it will bring more strangeness and maybe some answers, even if I think the answer will bring others questions.
I'll see...

What is it with tattoos? I think that in some twisted way it helps to inhibit the action of the alien stuff.... Am I right?

Author's Response: Yeah, you're right. The implant is picky, so to speak, in regards to genome and flawless body balance, so anything that alters that risks lowering the compatibility. Tattoo ink is considered a foreign object by the body's inmune system and although rarely, can be rejected and cause allergic reactions. Even if body balance is mildly altered in a molecular level, it's all it could take for the implant to start rejecting the host. And yeah, Bill doesn't care at all if he's spoiling his implant or not. He wants to get rid of it, anyway. Wow, long explanation. :)

Hi.
Tom seems to be disapointed and still confused. If not even more.
Bill really leaved his mark on him after their meeting.
Tom doesn't want to think of him but did it before sleep.
He doesn't want to pay attention to him but notices his clothes changes.
He doesn't want to talk to him but when Bill forces him to come to him, he doesn't struggle much. And Tom feels bad for offending him by his words and apologizes...
It's quite paradoxical...Tom is very attracted by Bill.
There's no thoughtful reason to that yet!
Has Bill something that attracts people, like the three men in the prologue?
Maybe but then why the others don't feel it?
Is it selective? Or are people too sickend by his look to care?
Is Tom more sensible to this thing than the others? Why?
One thing for sure, he doesn't understand his reactions and doesn't like it.
I didn't talked about it before, but there also the band. Something still lacking???? A good singer, of course!!!
I think Bill could be but how???? No one loves a ugly singer, even if he has a voice as beautiful as angles's.
They must go on without him. But then the gig will be very difficult for them to win. A lot of things can happen in two months.
See which evolutions were made in Bill/ Tom 's relationship in only two days!!!!!!
Love this story more and more.

This is cute:) Tom still freaking out about having to jump out of the plane and Bill being too cute about getting a new tattoo and piercing. I also liked Andi's confession about being ok with Bill being with Tom. This is cute. Can't wait for more :)

I go on with my reading and I'm not disapointed.
Quite puzzled by the flash back but I think it's necessary for understanding. I can't have all answers now.
I still have one of them. The meeting between Tom and Bill...
Tom is like often in fictions. The school playboy. How difficult it is to hold his statut...Good-looking, almost popular, stalked by girls even in detention. Poor him!!!
He could be the usual jerk....But there are little things against this idea. Work scholarchip... And I has an heart, beacuse he is uneasy nonetheless to make fun of Bill.
Bill...he's in fact quite ugly, a bit weird and everybody seems to dislike him. Why? because of his look? I found it mean and immature. Have they ever heard of inner beauty?
Or maybe I'm partial 'cause I know how Bill is really under his disguise and that's why I'm chocked by thoses reactions towards him...
Bill very interessed into Tom. He wanted perhaps to be discreet and watched him from afar but failed. Too noticeable thanks to his ugliness but it's not all.
Tom seems actracted by him. He asks for his name even if his mind is against it, he doesn't want to get involved with Bill but can't help going to him.
Why? Bill doesn't look like the sort of friends Tom has or could want.
There's a mystery under this.
And this chapter is more like an introduction, so it's normal it's a bit slow. But yet interessting. Your story's potential is indisputable. I like it.
Next chapter later, maybe tomorrow.
