loved it <3 the epilogue and the story <3
first I must congratulate you because I never read a story in which there's rape involved and you were capable of writing that so well that I couldn't stop reading the fic.
second for the awsome plot.
third for the great ending, I liked it a lot, the only thing that kept me thinking a bit was if you made Bill sterile only so he wouldn't have the need to want a woman for his own.
and fourth for your great ability to take in what I say xD I know sometimes I'm a bit too direct and that can seem rude, and I'm sorry if that happened it was not my intention, but I think that it is very important for people to be capable of listening to what others have to say (in all aspects of life), it helps us grow and be better.
I look foward to read more stories from you :)

I'm so glad to hear that.rnrnNo, my original intention for sterilizing Bill was just because men were only allowed to live in (or guard) the harem if they were sterile. Even if he could, I think in the end Bill would have chosen not to have children, because I wrote his character as gay. He isn't attracted to women in this universe.rnrnI'm glad you liked the ending. Oh holy...! ;_; It feels like a LIFETIME that I've read this. It isn't but...I don't wanna let this go! :( Why all good things must come to an end...Ugh, I so loved this story. I've held my breath, laughed, seethed, cried both tears of happiness and sorrow... it's been such a journey. And now it's over. I can't believe it.
Thank you SO MUCH for this AMAZING story! I'm sad to leave it all behind, really am. This is what makes fiction so amazing and addictive. So I had a whole review here and lost it, but I'll see what I can recreate from it...
It was a perfect ending, though bittersweet. I loved that Bill got to see his mother one more time (I'd like to read the reunion scene, should you feel inclined to write it), but not so much that Tom married Mahtob. I understand why it had to happen, though - just as you explained, Tom's son wouldn't have been as secure if his mother wasn't queen, and Mahtob deserved something.
The way you dealt with Aaron was great - get him out of the way, but don't punish him for something he didn't do. Pretty sure you provided closure in everything I had questions about, actually, so that's a job well done.
The very end was lovely. I'm so glad that Bill was accepted as Tom's love by the court. It would have been so sad if they hadn't been able to be open about it, though I suppose Tom is sultan, so he can kinda do whatever he wants in that department...
Oh, and I found it incredibly depressing that Tom's liver is failing, but it's something so realistic that I can't fault you for it, haha. I'm glad he's using what time he has to be a good sultan and improve the lives of his people.
Think that ended up being longer than my original review. Anyway, I can see myself re-reading this and enjoying it equally every time, many times to come. Certainly one of my favorites. Thank you for taking me on this breathtaking journey!

rnrnI like your idea for the cookie, I'll probably end up writing it! And of course I didn't expect most people to be HAPPY about Tom marrying Mahtob/Tom's poor health. I purposefully put those in there to show that real life can be happy, but it is rarely perfect.

*enthusiastically applauds* Bravo Bravo!!! That was an incredibly beautifully written eppie to a fantastically written story. I love how Tom was willing to let him, I can see how it would mean a lot to Bill, to be offered even if he couldn't. But, why did it take so long for Georg and Manar to get married? They were engaged throughout the whole fic. werent they? at least the last half for sure. And that is honestly the only thing I can even mildly complain about and thats sure as hell not much...For future ficlets, I think I would really like to see an argument, the escourting, and the following jealous make up sex. pretty please? with a thoroughly shagged Bill on top?
Author's Response: To answer your question: I was going to have a still broken-up Bill and Tom see each other at Georg and Manar's wedding during the story, but I saved it for the epilogue because I wanted to trick readers into thinking Tom was standing at the alter about to get married when it was really Georg.

If I would have known that I would be getting all misty-eyed while reading this epilogue, I would have waited until after reading to apply my make-up, but I guess re-application is a small price to pay for the wonderful way you tied up this journey. It was beautiful and little sad all at the same time. I think you portrayed a real adult type of love between them, it's not perfect, but it's true and above all its theirs. I've enjoyed every deliciously long chapter, and hope there's more to come in the future. :)
Author's Response: I didn't think the epilogue was all that special, but I guess it was good if it made you tear up. I like how you called it "adult" love. Tht's a good way of puting it. I didn't want things to be perfect, because life never is. I just wanted Bill and Tom to be in love and happy with one another, that's all. Glad you liked it.

and I did cry at the end of the epilogue - at Tom's shortened life, Tom and Mahtob's marriage (I understand its his responsibility to the throne and yada yada but its still pretty painful to accept T_T ), the end of this story..
what I meant from my previous review is I didn't want this story to be ending already :(
but you've wrapped everything up so nicely in this epilogue, so yea guess I gotta get used to not seeing anymore updates for this story :(
and I never hated Deena, just relief that there's one character less vying for Tom's attention :)
I'm gonna miss this story alot :)

I just read all of this in one sitting (I was almost late to see Gaga live for this, whatwhatwhat) and oh my god it is brilliant! I love it, adore it and I want it published and in my bookshelf, I want to borrow the book to my friends and just woooow! I do not have words to describe how lovely I find this story, and how stupid I have been to not read it earlier!
I honestly cannot wait for the epilogue, and the fangirl in me is secretly (well, kinda openly) hoping Tom will change the rules a tidbit and finally marry the love of this life, they both deserve it. Either way, this is lovely, I have lost hours of sleep because of it but it has all been worth it! Thank you!

I'm glad that you did finally decide to read, as I hope all holdouts will. I too would love to have this story printed as a little book with a pretty cover and all, but we all know how expensive that is, plus I'd have to change Bill and Tom's names and would it really feel the same then?
