Okay, this is incredible. Your writing is honestly some of the best i've read in a while. There's an emotion in it, which is actually so hard to find sometimes. The metaphors, the pacing, the language... it's just so beautiful.
'that kite was a fragile bird that had been shot down by a gang of hunters only to fall to the ground and not die. '
..amazing.
'Ghosts bit at my skin and pulled at my hair. A mental war of what was and what could have been.'
..that line took my freaking breath away. Says so much.
And i love that it's Tom rather than Bill. By default so many people write about Bill being the one hurting and Tom being the strong one, but i find it so interesting when it gets flipped around and Tom is the fragile one or at least fragile as well because it seems so real.
Anyway, seriously good work here! :)

I know what you mean, my mom works at a hospital and there she knows this girl (I think she's a nurse or something) who always shows up to work with a new scar. They don't interact much but as far as I know she is not an emo and she's over twenty so, yeah, these people are real! Anywho, great story, I applaud you!

I think this story was amazing, terible, but amazing - It's real on some level, cause like you say real people have real resons. To answer your question in the end notes of chapter 3, I guess I'm on Toms side cause sometimes you just don't have a say in who you end up becoming. And you can't change without help. So again amazing story. The writting has really great and deep moments but also sometimes it slips - don't know how else to put it. Not the greatest piece og fic I've ever read (please don't take that badly) Somtimes it's not the skill but the will. Long rambling review, hope you'll understand what I'm thinking, cause in the end it actually left me spechless! (That really shows! lol)

I actually have tears running down my cheeks. Not many stories do that to me.
I truly understand what you meant with this story though. But I guess attention seekers are having problems too. I mean, if you are hurting yourself just for the attention, then something must be really wrong with you too.
And I don't hate you for killing Tomi. Things like that happen in real life, and not everyone gets to have a happy ending.
