Author's Response: Psh, I dunno, I read somewhere that it translates to 'cat's breakfast' :P 'Hair of the dog' is short for 'hair of the dog that bit you' which I guess was an old Romany or voodoo something or other where you use hair on a dog bite from the offending animal. In reference to a hangover, it means drinking a shot or so when you're hung over to get temporary relief. XD
