That was just... wow. I was so caught up in this, there was something going on at every corner and I couldn't blink for fear of missing something. It was brilliant! I really didn't want it to be Bill, but something kept nagging at me, who else could it be? And oh god, poor Tom... My heart broke for him.
Bill's such a bastard in this. But you write it too good for words. :3 Possibly one of my top favorites on the site, but I think that about all your stories. :

I hope Gustav finds him and chokes him to death with his blood all over his money sprawled on the cold floor.GREAT ENDING.I love it when the ending leaves many possibilities and it's up to the reader to guess the "real" end of the story.
I knew it was too easy.And the "he" David talked about was Bill then.For an instant,in the previous chapters i was tempted to believe that Bill was innocent.But every passing chapter the feeling that he's guilty won't go XD

Real life's a bitch ne?I am sorry for the things you through that prevented you from writing.You know,if you need a break,take it.I am reading and writing(french) fanfiction for six years now,and i know sometimes you HAVE to take a break,otherwise you get fed up and the great feelings you had when you were writing in the beginning become dull as time passes.If you take a break,when you rewrite again,you realize how much you missed it.Maybe i'm misenterpretating what you said,so forgive me for saying all those things.I believe that's happened to froggy.She said it anyway,she just wrote the last chapter without really feeling like writing,and you can tell when you read it.But to sapere_aude too, every single e-mail asking if she was okay I sent to her was returned to me saying that the adress couldn't be found.

I thought Bill had something to do with it at first, but then I thought he really was innocent after everything else happened and when he was still there until that day after lunch. Instead he was playing puppet master the whole time. I figured he'd be too good to be true and when Gustav said David had had a visitor I knew it had to be him. I don't think he meant for Tom to die too- just an unfortunate side-effect- but at the same time he probably didn't care either way and is now off to break more hearts. Hope ya find him Gustav, just be careful! Hmm... Bill was probably behind that Frenchman deal too, wasn't he? ...Bill the Spider.

I knew it. Up to the 2nd last chapter I still think bill can't be this easy. The ending is sad but more realistic this way.
And the scene with tom's illusion of his girlfriend, poor tom.

Shit. It was inevitable. I mean you wrote this. And you don't often do happy endings. Still it hurts, because they could have been so good together. They were good together. And everyone deserves a bit of happiness,even such lost souls as Tom. Well...I might just pretend I have never read this and the previous chapter was the last. I'm good at deluding myself.:) All in all very good job, exciting from beginning to end and the atmosphere was very well-built up, immediately established. I enjoyed it immensely.:)

Only when the woman who visited David was mentionned did they come back.
