He closes the book. "I don't want our story to end." His eyes search my face. "Do you understand? The story of you and me, I never want it to end."
"It's not a fairy tale Bill."
"I know, I don't want it to be. I want it to be real. All the love and pain and joy and hurt of life, I want all of that.
And I want it all with you."
Awww I loved that part! It made my heart melt.

"Honestly, you don’t even know you're doing it. What's the movie about?" - *giggles* when did Tom become the grown up? Lol I still can’t picture him with out dreads!
Bill drops to sit on the floor while I help with the bedding. As I lean over to smooth the sheets down he runs his hand up my leg
Tom points. "Look! There! You're doing it again!"
Bill snatches his hand away. "She had some fluff on her jeans." He puts his hand back on my leg and pretends to pick bits off the denim. "Yeah, fluff." - *snorts*
Tom rolls his eyes and grabs his bag. "Listen, I'm going up to the bathroom. When I get back you'd better not be in that bed." – way to set yourself up for falure!
Tom leans forward and grins in my direction. "It's OK. We're identical you know."
I blush even redder. "Not entirely, according to him." I nudge Bill in the ribs.
"Oh yes! Show her your piercing Tomi!"
"NO!" I cover my eyes. – YES *she says with big shining eyes* YES please!
Tom winks at me again as we stand up. "We'll show each other later, right?" - *giggles*
They smile again, more alert this time, then turn to Bill. "Daddy, will you tell us a story?" – I love that they remember that he’s daddy.
I love the bed time story!!!!
"I love you." He gives me a sweet kiss. "I love you." Then another kiss. "I love you." - The bedroom sceen is so very sweet.
"Well, we have to have some you know, fathers and sons..." – awh that’s so sweet.
He drops his mouth on mine to kiss. "They were so in love.... so happy..." The kiss deepens. "But it was such a short time... the wrong time..." His voice is full of sadness - *tear* I remember the sadness.
For a moment he stops moving, his hands come up to cup my face, looking deep into my eyes. "Promise me. Promise you'll never leave me again, promise we'll be together, like this, every night." – he’s so desperate it hurts *sigh*
He smiles at me drowsily as we start to drift to sleep. "Did you like that story?"
"Hmmm... yes... " I move in closer so he can put his arms around me. "...but it would have been better if she was a princess... and he was a pirate..." – lol very cute!
"No, not that kind of book... this." He holds it up. "The notebook you gave me." He climbs back into bed with me. "I wrote a lot in it after you went home. And then I used it to save special things in, like a scrapbook, and lately I've written more in it. But there are still some blank pages left." - *smiles* that’s so sweet!
He tries to take it from me. "That was nothing, just some mistakes."
"What kind of mistakes?"
His face is reddening. "Nothing."
"OK." I gently close it and hand it back to him. "OK, no problem." – yes what kind of mistakes?
"I know, it's just... I want you to know everything about me but... If I tell you then I can’t take it back, you can’t un-hear anything and I'm afraid I'll hurt you." – he’s so sweet!
"Those pages... they were from a part of my life.... when I was with... the Actress." – figured as much.
"It was at first but then I realised, if you took away all the accessories, all the gimmicks it was just... pedestrian. – Yes the actress was just pedestrian she was a flashing lights and distraction.
"She told me... she said I was weak. She said that my personality wasn't my own. That I'd let people tell me who I should be for so long I didn’t have an original thought in my head.
I began to doubt myself. She planted the seed and it grew and grew." – it’s hard to not believe someone when that’s all they keep telling you.
"What I wrote then... It was just questions. Questions, questions... I would never write awful things about you...You have to believe me..." He turns the pages. "But eventually I started to find the answers. And the last few months this book helped me see what I needed to do." He finds the last used page and hands it to me, pointing to the final piece of writing. - he’s so sad so forlorn

He's brave, poor Bill. He knows life is not just a sweet candy. As for the fairy tale, it's only building inside your head.I keep doing that all the time, it keeps you away from harsh reality. After all, what is life without at least one fairy tale?

I put on some music and we sit companionably drinking and chatting about nothing while we wait for Bill. – I’m glad things are “comfortable” between them none of that awkward stuff!
