This practically broke my heart! While warming it at the same time. How beautiful and original. It's a story in which they are not totally free to pursue their feelings, but without the normal angst and self-delusion and drama that normally characterizes such stories. They truly do love each other, in both an innocent and a passionate way. And yet - the line "Tom nodded, pursing his lips so he could capture Bill’s for the last time that year." - that just melted and shattered me.
Incredible, beautiful, sweet, delightful. Great read.
