My name has been spelled like that since my great great great grandmother so *shrugs*
It's normal to change letters around. It's like changing the a in Stephanie to an e. Or the ie to a y. Same thing with almost every name in the world. Sometimes people change the letters or maybe that's how it was spelled where their from.

I confess I'm a victim of the habit of changing names to make them unique.
Like I wrote a book in which there was a Dayv and a Jayd, instead of Dave and Jade.

I hate it when people take a pretty name and spell it different to try to be unique. Genevieve only has one n.
Author's Response: No joke, but that's how her name is spelled in real life. The character was named after one of my friends, you have a problem with how it's spelled take it up with her parents. And I know what you mean about changing the name, but I assure you I only use real first names (only) from people I know. (^_^)

Author's Response: Thank you. My friend of the same name as the title asked me to write a oneshot for her, but she doesn't really have a preference with the boys so I had to think up something... this was the best I could do (._.) lol
