Tom stood, just stood. He wasn't sure what to do, where to go. It was hard for Tom to comprehend. It was too much. Tom didn't blame that man but he wanted too. – Hey Tom Tom Tom…too many Toms in too small a section change the second two to “he”….It was hard for him….and….He didn’t blame….we know who this part is about you don’t have to use his proper name so much right here. Only when switching about between a lot of characters do you NEED to. *muwah*

He was nothing... – but he was nothing before he had Bill he just didn’t know it.
What if Bill was the only one who could make him whole? Tom didn't feel very 'whole' right now. He felt broken, he was in pieces. Those were the pieces of Tom that he had left with Bill. Bill was a part of Tom and Tom was a part of Bill and nothing and nobody could change that... – nice I like this progression.
Tom let his fall from the doorknob. – oops forgot a word here “hand”?
He'd be back. Nothing could keep him away for too long anyways. He would come back tonight. – Yeah glad he realizes!
