I’m sorry I took so long to review but I had trouble getting through this chapter. It was boring and I’ll try and explain why. There was NO tension. It was just information. I wasn’t nervous about the boys getting caught. Tom was too sweet, too sure of himself. Bill was a marysue character. Simone was too perfect. Nothing happened. The best part was like the last three paragraphs the bit about the review view mirror and the chassed kiss. That was the only part where I got the flutters. I got nervous, Bill is 14 and Tom is his would-be attacker. That’s where you need to keep this story. Keep us antisipating that the worste will happen even if it doesn't. The rest of the tone of this chapter is more like what your epilogue needs to be. Nice sweet, everything works out, story telling mode letting the reader know what will be and that everything will be ok. Otherwise if you tell the rest of the story this way it will just be BLAH!
