This was such a great chapter...but talk about an emotional roller coaster! The beginning was so sweet and warm, but the end was so depressing! And your cliff-hangers will be the death of me one day...

I have to tell you that I love Tom's responses here. I think they are spot on really. The way he shut down again, the small gesture that appeared to be so much more to him with Bill pulling his hand away. I thought it was just right. Good job! And I love this story, though my heart bleeds for your Tom. And I don't think the feet at the door bode well...but sequel, yay! I love sequels. :D
