i've never read anything like this before. it's an absolutely beautiful interpretation of monsoon. i feel a bit empty after having read this. it's all so simple, written so clearly and...i really can't describe it in words. you really made the reader feel what was going on. i felt for tom, and i felt for bill, and in a way it was kind of a happy ending, while at teh same time seriously heartbreaking. really great.
Author's Response: I'm glad that's how you felt about it, as it is meant to be sort of a bittersweet thing. I think most people just read it and feel uber-depressed

Wow! The lyrics never made much sense to me before but now I'm seeing it in a whole new light!
Author's Response: Yeah, I don't really think the song is about what I said it was about, but it was fun to see that the lyrics could be interpreted another way and then write a fic about them.

I can see what you took from Monsoon and it just makes it even more sad. ;-;
Sometimes I think Monsoon is a love song, but a way more often I think it's another one of their twin songs. Whenever I hear them perform it I think Bill meant it to be for Tom, but not in a twincesty way. Just like he's telling him, they'll always be together.
What I'm trying to say is I think you're right, except the suicide part. I think Monsoon is a "different kind of love" song, you know?
