Omg what horrible parents in this fic, a real mom would run away with the twins when they’re literally dying slowly literally without each other or make sure they’ll stay in the same foster home and fight tooth and nail to get them back as fast as possible and also the police wouldn’t even place them in a foster home if only one parent is abusive and the parents are separated, the other parent would get the kids and maybe it would be some trials like a social service person visiting the home for a while to check up on things… I’m sorry I just hate unnecessary angst ^^
