I love how Bill taught Tom forgiveness, and giving people a second chance. I love how quickly Bill attached himself to the family and how quickly the family attached themselves to him. They were all meant to be and Bill finally found the family and home he didn't have and longed for.
So, yes, I think it was the most perfect ending ever!
