Bill & Tom's talk was wonderful. I continue to adore the connection they have with each other.
I'm so happy Bill finally met Simone. It was a great reunion. I don't know if I could have reacted that well to meeting my birth mother, had I been adopted. But I guess Bill is pretty chill. xD
And Simone's chill too huh? That gum thing? Sneaky sneaky...but cute. You said she didn't notice about it, but....lol...I guess I just like to read farther into things than I should.
I really liked these lines: "Bill let himself, for the first time, look at Tom as something more than a brother.
Bill looked at Tom as a guy, and he liked what he saw."
I think it marks a transition for Bill, like removing some of the last barriers he has between a full relationship for him and Tom. Nice job with that.

Bill is pretty chill, yes, but I think the fact that she so obviously missed him and regretted ever having given him away made him feel that perhaps it was best to let past be past, you know? you can read as much into it as you want to, doll xD and thank you for mentioning those lines, it's always nice to see the story from the reader's point of view! horizontal tango is at leats better than 'the wild monkey dance'!
