Do we ever get to meet Serenity's mom? I can imagine that'd be a drama-filled episode. Tom's upcoming chat with his parents should prove interesting as well, hehe. And don't worry about your chapters being too long... there's no such thing as too long if the pacing dictates that it be lengthy.
Also a small suggestion that you can take or leave... I would keep the points of view to the main characters (i.e. Tom and Bill) rather than supporting ones (i.e. Simone). :)
