Ok so... I know its a little strange to write 2 reviews in a row, but I read the whole thing trough again and realized I had something els to say. Adding in the first 2 chapters I really do like the way you have kept close to their emotional state. George is confused and intrigued by Bill. It seems that Bill has more depth in this fic than others. He is fighting for so much at the same time weather he realizes it or not. His emotional and physical state are more fragile in this world, but he still seems really strong willed:) Toms passion like was said by someone els is strong as well and that is very evident in your writing. I also like Gustav's character and his ability to question Tom without fear. Thank you for making them so believable in your universe and you have taken them out of their normal element and made them into new characters without distorting their personalities. I think someone who was not a TH fan could read this and enjoy it for its entertainment and story telling. Again great job and I can't wait for more.

Oooh you're doing it again!!! I can't wait to read what will happen next. You have to hurry! I won't have any nails left to bite! You really made this one good and I love the idea of them being from another world. It really is interesting and you have done well with the characters as I said before. I really want to see if Tom can make it to Bill in time and how everything will tie together with Geroge. Great job with this:)
Author's Response: lol, I promise to update quickly. My Uni is finally going on break and that'll give me time to squeak two chapters out next week instead of just one. I'm glad you really like it! This is such a cool idea for a fic! the whole threshold thing really makes me think of the manga Tsubasa, and I keep picturing one of the main characters as Gustav. xDD
I really like your attention to detail, and Georg is, so far, my favorite character. Can't wait for the next chapter!

And yet, honestly, I didn't even think about that when I started this fic, and thankfully they don't share that many similiarities. lol, Gustav can be Kurogane. Interesting! I like that we're now really beginning to get into the fantasy aspect of this AU. Fascinating. :D Poor Bill, though, thinking that his own brother has betrayed him... Tom had better find him quickly!
Author's Response: So, not completely freaked out by the fantasy aspect? Even as I was posting the first few chapters I was aware of the fact that this fic didn't start like a typical fantasy story, and I wondered if people would get the wrong impressions or be freaked out when I turned on the heavy fantasy elements. If you're still here, then I'm pleased to see that it's all working out. Thanks so much for making me worry a little less.

Right, I'm completely and utterly confused, but knowing you that's probably exactly what you want. If not I'll re-read it and try to sort my head out.
I fucking loved Tom, how he thinks about Bill and what not, you know I'm a sucker for fluff between them two, especially from you.
I really, really liked Tom and Gustav's relationship, not that I thought it was cute or fluffy or anything like, it just work(s/ed) well.
I really don't like that magistrate, I don't know why, but I don't.
I'm so eager to see what becomes of this! I made such a weird noise when I saw that this was updated!
And, homg! They get sick for crossing the threshold?! No. I refuse to accept that. Sorry - that's a recipe for too much angst.
You don't know how desperate for Bill and Tom to get back together, even if it's only been a week, and quite frankly, I'm not all that bothered which word it is. You have me intrigued about the world from which the come from, I wanna know more about it, and The Rites? You do know how to leave someone begging for more. I hope that this wasn't a rare chapter in which they'll be in Tom and Bill's world.

Author's Response: lol, the confusion isn't on purpose, persay, but I will admit, while I was writing this, I briefly entertained the thought that I'd be the only one with a clue who knew what was going on, at least until the bulk of the plot was revealed. But I promise, Bill will start spilling his guts to Georg soon enough, and everyone will find out then what's going on.rnrnAnd at least you're not freaked out that we're starting to transition in the fantasy aspect of this AU. I was absolutely worried that people would freak out once they realized I was going to be bending realtiy and messing around with the natural order of things. I wondered if I ought to make it clearer from the very beginning that this is a fantasy fic, though I plan to keep the character very real.rnrnAnd worry not, Tom is going to find Bill, but we'll be spending plenty of time in their world. Don't get me wrong, this is far from campy, but there are a lot of fairytale themes throughout this ... probably because I'm sure a softie and romantic at heart. Look for another update soon.

I think I may have underestimated you thinking it was going to be marginally happy.

I don't know what to think about Bill, I like him, then I don't, then he annoys me, then he's cute.
I like that, but I don't, I prefer to have a set perception of a person from the get go, but then again, I don't always like that and it's a change from the norm, which is gooood.
I grinned like a mad woman when Tom got mentioned, even though Bill wasn't all starry-eyed when he talked about him, it made me happyyy.
*Sigh* I get too excited over the twins.
Are Andreas and Bill going to be friends? They sound like they could, and personality, I think that'd be rather cool.
Annnd.
How's Gustav going to come into this? And which world is he going to be from. Good or bad? I've got too many questions that I know I'm gonna be denied an answer for. Pssht.
I liked the scene at the beginning of the diner, when they were talking to Patty, and they were on about Bill only being 16.
It really amused me for some reason. That's something else about Bill, he amuses me too.
When's Tom going to come into this? Since I know that it's not centered around him and Bill, but I'm really really eager for him to get his arse there.

Author's Response: You know me, I can't write anything without sneaking some major drama or angst in. :) rnrnI won't give anything away about Andreas, because I have big plans for him, but I do intend him to play a considerable role, and he will appear several times in this fic. Likewise, Gustav is going to be showing up very soon, and I promise he's a big damn hero again. I'm not sure I can write him as anything but.rnrnLook for Tom's introduction next chapter. Whereas Georg and Bill share chapters together, so do Tom and Gustav, at least intitially. I was scrolling up looking for something good to read, and bam! I saw the banner.
I normally don't review things that I've read since the author has sent it to me or I've beta'd. But I'll review this, even though it's going to be short since I fail at reviewing first chapters.
As you already know, the smile and darkness at the end made me smile, I loved it, and I'm really not too sure why.
I had meant to ask about other pairings and warnings. I really wasn't expecting you to have Georg/Bill as a warning.
It didn't even remotely occur to me.
I did however think that your next fic was going to centre alot around Georg, and I was right ^.^
Ooft, but the G's together, I love that!...if it involves fluff. But I can't see that being very realistic in this.
Pfft, watch you turn me into loving it.
Oh right yeah, LOL! Georg thought Bill was a woman, that well amused me. No matter how many times it happens it always gets a giggle out of me.

It's really one sided to be honest, and it doesn't happen until much further into the chapter, but I was like, if I'm going to put the G/G which is nonexistant until like the second to last chapter, then the Georg/Bill goes up too.rnrnAnd I didn't really set out to write a piece about Georg or even surrounding him and primary from his point of view. I admit, I adore the twins, but I really love Georg and when I was looking to have a focal narrative he seemed pretty obvious to me. Plus, it gave me a chance to really flush him out. The G's all too often get pushed to the wayside.rnrnSo as always, thanks so much for the review, even though I sent the chapter to you early. You know you're my favorite. <3
