Oh...No offense but this seems a bit rushed to me. At first, i loved your story because you hold the suspens quite well and I,as a reader could 'feel' your character's emotions. However, in this chapter it's like...
He discovered the ghost'story...Just like that?I mean,I think that there should've been another chapter before this one.It's like we jump some missing parts.
And something was like off to me: it's when the ghost looked 'hurt' tom kind of felt bad for saying things to it e_e
Why would this ghost falter and look hurt when it's it who was messing up the place and all?He did those intentionally.It's like it's the victim.And this ghost's personnality is...One moment it's all mysterious and michevious,the other it's like:
"“Well…” the ghost faltered, at a loss for words, and looked slightly hurt." =_= Seriously...
"The ghost pointed an accusing finger at Tom. “Just because you’re too close-minded to accept the fact that ghosts are real..."
Is NOT accepting ghosts existence meaning someone is close-minded? O_ô?That is quite problematic because I, for instance don't believe in aliens living on uranus.Am I close-minded? Whatever...What i want to say is that,you can't qualify someone close-minded because of their beliefs whatever the subject is.
I just try to understand how's this fic working.I feel like the last chapter is he last or something.I thought Tom would investigate and discover little by little the mystery of this house, and then he'd finally talk to Bill.Or Andreas would be with him and the two of them have never seen the real appearance of the ghost yet. Or something like that...But it's your fic and well...I just wanted you to know what impressions this left me so far as a reader.I don't mean to be mean or something,just trying some objective criticism.
