Amazing. That's all I can say. The atmosphere is sinister what with the fragmented info we are given and maybe it's just me, but i can't really place them in time or space, I mean one moment it reads like they are in a kind of medieval village, but then you mention electricity and hip-hop. It's all so deliciously confusing and elusive. (or it's just my bad English...:)

I can already tell this fic won't be getting the attention it deserves, because its written smart. You two know about that little thing called foreshadowing and use it in a not-so-little way, and as much as I'd like to say I have no clue what's going on at all, that's not true. I have plenty of clues; you've provided them. I don't have enough to get a clear picture just yet and that might have to do with how dead tired I am too, but I know most people will read it and go, "This is boring," because they want everything on a silver platter and can't appreciate the intricacy of working details that are actually important into the text.

Well, sucks for them. They're going to be missing out on what I can already tell is going to be a great fic - I mean... literary experience. :)

This chapter answered a few questions and raised a lot more. I think that's going to be a pattern I'm going to keep seeing throughout the fic. I keep seeing little things that I don't know I should be focusing on, like how Tom scratches his arm right after you mention Bill getting a mosquito bite on his arm. I liked the flashback because it connected to the fic but didn't sound forced - it didn't feel like you'd come up with the flashback *just* to show the connection, it had other meaning it behind to. The phrase "swimming in fire" stuck with me, as did "Come forward now, you know you must, we give you our product, you give us your trust." ...I like things that rhyme, okay? -huff- Don't judge me.

And I was going to mention, you've merged the modern technology and old ideology very well together. I definitely was not expecting Tom to being a hip hop loving Fire Mage, but you managed to make it flow in a way that surprised me. The idea of the turbine and satellites should have detracted from the... witchy (just go with me here, I'm having trouble thinking of the proper word) feel of the fic, but it didn't. It really didn't, and I'm more curious now than ever about the differences between the twins, and what Bill is connected to, if Tom's connected to fire. -chin stroke-

Choking on foreshadowing and looking forward to more, as always. :3

So much foreshadowing, but to what? It makes my stomach twist every time I read but I can't not because I'm so intrigued.

You know I rarely look at the authors name before I read a story to remove me from bias, and instead just enjoy a good read. So I decided to read this, it looked interesting and tada it was amazing, such a great story that's already got me feeling like I'm there.
And then I finally take a peek at who the author(s) are and Suprise, Suprise it's you two.
Seriously it's not fair to be this awsome, you really need to learn to share.
*huffs off like a stroppy toddler*
Lubs it incase you couldn't tell.

This foreshadowing is killing me.

Speaking of killing, I hate you for giving me false hope by leaving out the character death warning at first and then SMACKING ME IN THE FACE WITH IT. -seethes-

Now you guys have to pay by listening to me ramble. So, when I first heard witch!fic my mind instantly went to the Crucible (which is only like one of my most favorite plays ever ever ever) and then I thought of John Proctor (who's only like one of my favorite characters ever ever ever) and then I thought of what happens to John Proctor and I D:'d.

I think I might do something drastic if either of the twins end up getting lynched, so... let's not go down that path.

I've also kind of run out to things to say about your general style of writing - there are only so many different ways you can compliment something you know - so I'll have to stick to the fic itself. I mean, you guys already know you're brilliant, great flow, pacing, blah blah blah, and I don't like to repeat it because! I am petty and it makes me feel small. Like how you get new high heels and you're really proud of them and then you end up standing in line behind a chick that's just naturally taller than you? Yeah. Like that. -sulk-

So, see, I was going to review both prologue and chapter one separately but then you BLINDED me with the character death warning and left me feeling vindictive. So I totally cut back on a review. Yeah. I went there.

Also I do realize that's probably just in accordance to the massive foreshadowing about Simone's death in the prologue, but still. You never know. Also, I wanted rainbows, damnit, and it is so not fair that I love this fic already. ;__; I continue to marvel about how much you can set up in so few words - setting and plot that -should- take a few chapters or at least very basic "tell not show" writing. I know so much about the twin's bond already (especially how you've written protective!older!brother!Tom (...were all those !s really necessary? Prolly not.) and the setting with the villagers being apprehensive and insensitive and them leaning on the bad side of poor and gah!!! -flail-) and...

"We accept simple 'thank you's, Mister Spitz," Tom clipped and Bill suppressed the smile that wanted to rise. My favorite line from a host of brilliant lines. They are a unit, aren't they. :)

Write more. Do it now. Also... damn. Forgot what I was going to say. Oh! Right. Foreshadowing is killing me. Killing me like that bad pizza I had for dinner last night. ;__;

I have learned to fear stories with character death warnings and foreshadowy dreams, especially from you two. Prove me wrong, I dare you.

I would really appreciate it if you all would stop being so goddamn genius.

This was such a pretty little thing, awaiting me as I reentered the fandom.
