I think that Tom's not getting treated fairly. He does have a right to be upset. Bill did cheat on him, and then he said he loved Mishelle. Why doesn't he get any sympathy.
Author's Response: *sighs* the hardest thing about writing thing POV is that you're basically seeing everything through TOM's eyes. which means that because he feels alone/ganged up on, thats what the reader ends up feeling as well. Tom DOES have the right to be upset, AND Carley has told him that in chapters 17 and 18, but he doesn't have the right to say some of the things he said. part of growing up and being mature is learning when certain things are appropriate and when your temper is getting out of hand. And Bill did cheat on him, but he DID NOT say that he loved Mishelle. He was talking to the baby. Tom automatically jumped to that conclusion (and didn't let Bill explain because his jealousy took over), and that's his downfall. Tom will get sympathy when and where it's deserved, but not for the cruel words he spoke when he all but jumped down Bill and Mishelle's throats. sry if im coming off as defensive, i just wanted to clear up all of your...misunderstandings.
