Oh god, those poor poor children. That makes me feel so ill inside and breaks my heart so very much. Thank God for babysitters like Gustav (you) who are there for them and let the other parent know it still haunts their child. I know that I, as a parent, would want to know if this sort of thing happened to my precious ones. I thank heaven every day it hasn't and pray it doesn't. Sorry. This story is very triggery - but in a good way. I think more people in variant fandoms should write about the hard stuff sometimes. You did a wonderful job with such a sensitive subject.

i dont know what to say. if i were in Gustav's position i honestly can't imagine what i would have done. that's so scary. how to people like that even exist...it's too horrible.

You know, you can go to the police even 13 years after you've been raped. That is, if you're 18. So those kids can still go to the police. Um, that's what the Dutch laws say, but I don't know if it's the same in your country. But I think you should look it up and tell them, it's not like you can only go to the police one year after it happened. Of course, going right away is better, but they were still young, so... What I'm trying to say is that it's not too late. If they can contact the others who've been abused by him, they have a bigger chance! There's always a chance. You could suggest it.

Author's Response: de moeder van deze meisjes is al honderd keer naar de politie geweest... en het zelvde gelt voor de andere die door hem misbruikt zijn. het probleem is dat ze niet genoeg bewijzen hebben, dus daarom worden ze niet serieus genomen )= ik weet ook niet helemaal hoe de wetten in noorwegen er over gaan, maar ik denk niet dat deze fam er nog energie voor over heeft. ze proberen er gewoon doorheen te komen. en ik hoop dat je vriendin snel hulp krijgt! *hugs*

O My God... how can someone do something like that? To his own child? I really hope that man goes to jail and that the children will be able to be happy, to be loved and love in return. God... You've got my support! Everyone who needs it gots it!
I know someone who has been abused like that too. I was shocked when she told me. And the worst thing is, she never told anyone who did it to her. She's 14 now and she cuts herself and all I can do is tell her that I'll be there for her whenever she really needs me, she can always call and talk if she wants to. The problem is that I don't want to hurt her by asking too much, but she says that she's working it out. I can only hope.
Let this be a message for anyone who has ever been through this/ is going through it... there's always someone who can help you.
Author's Response: thank u SO mcuh for ur review!!! even though i hate to say this, i don't think the dad will go to jail. this abuse took place for 6 years ago and no matter what has happened, he has been able to stay out of court ='( i'm really sorry about ur friend and all i can say is: please convince her to seek help. nomatter how much u work on something like this on your own, nothing can compair to getting help from a pro. they will be able to make her see more of the things that will be too hard to figure out on her own. it's really good that you're there for her, but remember that you're not a therapist. don't expect too much of yourself, that could end up distroying you... *hugs u really close* i hope things work out for ur friend hunni *hugs harder*

That is just absolutely inhumane and wrong! And what's terrifying is that is happened all the time, and no one seems to know or care. Parents ignore these cries for help because they don't believe their kids or they don't want to believe.
I mean, it was a wonderful story as a whole, very life-like and real. As a babysitter, I've had my share of over-night jobs, and the youngest kids always bounce off the walls right before bedtime, while the older kids try to stay up really late.
But the poor kids... Poor Gustav. Poor babysitter! How could you ever manage to bring something like that up to their parents?!
