I really like your style and the idea for your story.
Some scenes were deeply touching.
I only wished you had spun your idea out more. Things were moving very quickly. This story could have lasted over several chapters, making the reconnecting between Tom and Bill even more moving.
But that's just a minor detail, and more a thing of personal taste.
Really enjoyed reading this!
