i'm curious about what kind of challenges Tom and Kearney will undertake, and i'd love to know more about their interactions when they were younger. =]
Author's Response: Uh, the challeges are there, Kearney will have to bring slik, spices and so from India, Tom will have to build an aqueduct. In a year. The one who gets to do it within the year will be Bill's mate, if both manage, Bill chooses (but I can advance you that Kearney is a cheater).rnrnAbout the interactions when younger, it's not in the story, since it's not important, but well, I picture them growing up together because Tom and Kearney are the sons of Ma'mum's bestfriends, Bill's father. They play, break things and get punished together and those things kids do. Then when they get older, as a result of the development of their personalities, Bill and Tom grow closer to the point of falling in love, while Kearney keeps on being the winner (no matter what) he is, and wants to mate Bill because he wants the power it would bring. rnrnSuposedly, a mate is not necessarily a sentimental companion (as some marriages), but of course, you would want to be mated to a lover rather than to a friend who you've grown apart from, and well, in this story once you're mated to someone, you owe that person faithfulness, and only can have sex with the mate or the women in the harem to have children. This was random information xDrnrnI hope I didn't confuse you more. Thanks for reviewing.

this story is very good so far! I like how it is based in legend. That only thing i can suggest is that you give a bit more description so that we readers can get into the characters' skin more easily.
