You know you're a great writer when you can make your readers feel emotion while reading your work, despite it obviously being fiction. You've defiently acheived that. It's easy to feel Bill's fustration and misery through this. It's almost as if you place yourself in his shoes, living that moment. You desrbe things well and a good amount, but not too much so it feels too overbearing and it flows well too.
I can't wait to see how this evolves and how Bill's relationship with his brother, and, well, the world, changes over time.
It's an interesting read and I can't wait for you to post the new chapter.

I have run out of words to describe how good this is, i can only repeat myself. Bill is so lonely and out of this world, a social outcast and everything he thinks is based on the false premise that Tom does not love him anymore. It makes me want to cry. I'm lazy to check the warnings on this story now, but I hope my premonition in connection with Bill is wrong and eventually when he finds his voice he will find himself as well...But right no it's just breaking my heart. oh, and the fact that he hates Gordon is just so logical, so self-evident. i wonder how they weill eventually get closer to each other if ever.

Oh god. I'm almost crying. Melancholic nostalgia is the worst, you know. I feel so bad for Bill. I can't imagine what's gonna happen next... I really like the sentence about autumns taking Tom away from Bill, and I adore how you potray that he feels betrayed by his family. Gah, this is just too good.

Amazing! How thoroughly you've led the kids through childhood with scenes of their ordinary life! And you've done a great job introducing Gordon, too. Useless to say how miserable I felt for poor Bill :( He just accepts the situation and stops smiling and talking.
