Sorry but I found this chapter a bit weird.
Ok, his father probably would freak out, but get a gun? Lol. And then when they got to Bill's, mum, Tom's dad is going to shoot him, oh ok, better not go home then! LOL.
Just seemed too unrealistic. Sorry. I'm not saying I don't like your story but this chapter just didn't ring true, and the characters didn't behave in a realistic way.
I think the character you've built up as Bill, would have been way more upset than that, to find Tom making out with someone else.
Also, as a last chapter, it just didn't have any closure .. I dunno, weird.
Just my thoughts ... Sorry. I did like the story up until this chapter.
