first, I want to say I really loved your story! it was really sweet and sad, but you write it really well!
However, I am disappointed with how you ended it. I know I can't really judge how you wanted to write it, but there are SO many uke!Bill stories. It gets so boring and predictable. And reading this story I really thought you would be different and surprise me, but you didn't. I know it is only my personal opinion, and I did really like the rest of the story! But the ending was a let down.
Author's Response: I don't exactly know what a uke!Bill is? I'm guessing you're referring to the fact that he was a bottom? I actually struggled over that part because it felt like my characterization of Bill was the stronger character. However, I felt that with the situation that Tom went through, he had lost control over his situation and his life. It seemed to me that Bill would have realized that and as a show of love to Tom, he wanted to give a tiny bit of that power back. I definitely do not see him as a bottom only, especially in my sequel, but in this instance it was what I felt he would do for Tom. I'm sorry that you were disappointed though.
