Fantastic. Once again, I'm very happy to say that I was able to put my personal bias aside and be able to completely enjoy this chapter.
Let me just start by saying how gratifying it was to read a rape story that actually sounded like a rape story. All the little details that went into Bill's dream--about him constantly struggling and cursing at his attackers, never quite giving up on freeing himself, was refreshing in a genre that's always so dead-set on making Bill a helpless damsel in distress. The scene was intense. Realistic. When you described the way Bill's nails dug into the floor, I felt my own hand curling in, like I was right there, experiencing what he was. It was... powerful.
Everything about this story, so far, is great. You've done what so many authors have attempted and failed miserably to do; and that is to take a serious topic like sexual assault, and make it upsetting. You're a very solid and talented writer for doing as much.
Good luck with the rest of the story. Looking forward to what else you have to offer us.
